Participants will: 1. Acquire new knowledge regarding the Ethics Law and its application, as well as, the jurisdiction of the Local Finance Board (Board) and other investigatory agencies; 2. Gain an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Ethics Law and the Rules and requirements that apply to ethics complaint investigations; 3. Learn what constitutes a valid ethics complaint and the procedures that follow; 4. Nurture a desire to exemplify ethical decision-making; 5. Make behavioral changes that foster an ethical culture in the organization and enhance the ethical climate in the workplace; 6. Take positive corrective action where misconduct is observed or perceived.
